VIDEO: MP uses 29-letter word in Parliament

Jacob Rees-Mogg has made the record books with the use of floccinaucinihilipilification in the House of Commons – now the longest word in Hansard.

The Conservative MP told Andrew Neil the 29-letter word meant the “actual habit of estimating is worthless” and that it “came to mind as it does from time to time”.

He said its use had helped highlight alleged corruption among judges in the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.
